Iconic design
Good design is innovative, long-lasting and consistent down to the last detail. This results in iconic products that make history, inspire other designers and lose none of their fascination over the decades. Ultimately, these design classics are even perceived as synonymous with an entire product segment.
Form follows function
Good things are things that work – or in other words “form follows function”: with this maxim, the Bauhaus movement of the early 20th century had a decisive influence on modern design. Legendary designers such as Mies van der Rohe, Marcel Breuer or Wilhelm Wagenfeld represent this design epoch, whose ideas continue to have an impact today and inspire many designers to create purist designs.
The Bauhaus form from the 1930s, designed by Dr Herrman Gretsch, has cult status today. As “Solid Color” by Dibbern, this form has been available in over 40 colours since 1984, offering an almost endless variety of possible combinations. In addition to a gold edition, the platinum version has now been added to the collection – a highlight to celebrate 40 years of “Solid Color”. The precious metal creates a festive, modern table setting and is absolutely suitable for everyday use, i.e. dishwasher-safe.

Nowhere is functionality more important than in the kitchen. Pots, kitchen utensils and the like are subjected to high demands all day long. Innovative product features, high-quality materials, easy handling and, last but not least, a timeless, convincing look are required in order to stand the test of time in everyday kitchen life.
The colourful ones
“Colourful is my favourite choice of colour” – this quote is attributed to Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius. This means that design classics don't always have to come in a minimalist colour scheme. On the contrary: strong colours or soft nuances always lend familiar forms new radiance and strength.
