Colour Trend 2026: Pantone Color of the Year Cloud Dancer

2026 will be white! With Pantone 11-4201 Cloud Dancer, the Pantone Color Institute has selected a weightless-looking white as the “Color of the Year”. The delicate shade conveys a sense of deep calm and symbolises tranquillity in our hectic world. Cloud Dancer is ideal for interior design and, thanks to its versatile combinability, enriches specialist retail assortments in the long term.

Room for creativity

Like a blank canvas, Cloud Dancer embodies the desire for a new beginning. The airy, light white offers plenty of scope for creativity in interior design and provides a sense of mental openness. In doing so, Cloud Dancer perfectly corresponds with the “light” style world of the Ambiente Trends 26+. “light” conveys an atmosphere in which delicacy and strength merge harmoniously.

As part of the Ambiente “Talents” programme, Mareen Baumeister presents her project “Flock”. Coarse sheep’s wool that would otherwise be discarded is processed using robotic felting techniques. The stool demonstrates the potential of resource-efficient material cycles.

“Air” by Design House Stockholm

The “Air” cabinet by Design House Stockholm appears light and airy. Designer Mathieu Gustafsson achieves a semi-transparent look using woven rattan that feels both contemporary and retro. A sideboard in two sizes is also available in the same design.

“Seat” by Andersen Furniture

In “Seat”, designer Allan Nøddebo brings together clean lines, high comfort and a refined aesthetic. With its combination of solid oak and wide woven details, the bench by Andersen Furniture invites people to linger anywhere – in the entrance area as well as in the bedroom.

A conscious statement of simplification, Cloud Dancer enhances our focus, providing release from the distraction of external influences.”

“Silky White” by Narumi is absolutely timeless. The delicate relief shows small wildflowers that are perfectly highlighted on fine bone china. The shape has remained in the range for almost 50 years and has been honoured with the Good Design Award and the Long Life Design Award of Japan.

“Frappee” by Philippi

Ceramic art from the 3D printer – that is “Frappee” by Philippi. State-of-the-art technology creates organic shapes that contrast beautifully with the layered structure produced by the printing process. The larger, rounded vase “Plissee” even carries the flowing look in its name.

“Pure” by Dibbern
