This term usually represents the separation welding, also known as “cut and seal”, of thermoplastic textiles. The material to be cut is pulled through between a sonotrode and an anvil. As a rule, one of the two tools is flat and the counterpart has a rather blunt cutting edge. The ultrasound action plasticizes the material and at the same time squeezes it off and seals it. A variety of standard products and corresponding accessories, which we have developed through our years of experience, enable easy integration into new or existing production machines.
