2dezign has been responsible for creating the “Decoration Unlimited” area at Christmasworld for the past 10 years. With their unconventional and fascinating fantasy world entitled Dark Ocean, the designer duo have come up with a concept for Christmas decorations whose central image at first glance does not conjure up a Christmassy feel at all – the stormy sea! From driftwood to an inflatable shark, from weathered surfaces to teddy bears on surfboards, Dark Ocean combines unusual motifs and materials to create an overall concept that casts a spell and beckons you into another world. Pascal Koeleman and Rudi Tuinman are 2dezign. For more than 20 years, the Dutch designer duo have been combining their expertise in floristry, product design and fashion to create striking decoration concepts and extravagant presentations.
